Description: OMC 301824 O-rings for connector repair - same ones I use in my full service repair auction. Sold in pairs to service both the fuel and air side of the dual line connector. I have included a picture of the 1956 Evinrude service bulletin on how to do this repair with some wire hook tools you can make. Be VERY VERY CAREFUL to not scratch the beveled face of the valve plunger as it must be smooth to seal against the o-ring or it will leak. Also do not enlarge the hole in the brass cover plug. NOTE: To seat the orings I use a squirt of wd40 and 25psi of compressed air first in the oring side then the barb side. Alternate until you hear a distinct "pop" of the orings seating properly. Simply blow into the barb end to verify the seal is good. Keep in mind this bulletin was written assuming the o-rings would still be pliable - not hardened to stone by 50 years of neglect - chances are you will end up breaking the old o-ring into pieces and have to remove them piece by piece.. If you feel uncomfortable doing this work or damage your connector I have some spare parts in stock and another auction in which I do the repair for you, replacing the o-rings and the steel springs with new stainless steel springs for $16.95 + shipping. Link to my repair service listing if you prefer to have me do both o-rings and the springs. Member AOMCI
