Description: Here is a classic motherboard for Slot 1 CPUs from the late 1990s: an Intel "Seattle" SE440BX, which I just pulled from a Micron Millennia XI full tower. I include a 400 Mhz Pentium II CPU, 128MB of RAM, the I/O shield, and a CD ROM audio cable. The SE440BX is based on Intel's 440BX chipset, which can handle Celeron, Pentium II or Pentium III CPUs with either a 66 or a 100 MHz FSB. Intel added onboard sound, using a Crystal CS4236B audio chip It includes two ISA slots, four PCI slots, and one 3.3V AGP slot. There are three 168-pin DIMM sockets for SDRAM, DIMMs up to a maximum of 768MB. I include one 128MB DIMM. The back of the motherboard includes two USB 1.1 ports, two PS/2 ports, two DB9 serial ports and one parallel port. I have seen this motherboard boot consistently from floppy diskettes and load Windows 98 from an IDE hard drive. I include only the exact motherboard, CPU, CPU cooler, RAM, cable and I/O shield pictured here. I DO NOT include any other accessories, or software. I offer a 30 day return privilege and free shipping to any U.S. zip code.
