Description: Maker: On the reverse of this exquisite dinner plate is the green underglaze white ware mark number 12 (1894-1931) and the red decorator's mark number 13 (1889-1931) of Haviland, one of the great Limoges firms at the turn of the last century. Together they confirm that the plate was produced and decorated by the Haviland factory between 1894 and 1931. The retail mark of Gimbel Brothers also appears. Design: The sophisticated pattern, called Schleiger 235B, features a double gold band around a center of delicate pastel florals. Haviland pattern identification disclaimer: Haviland produced between 30,000 and 60,000 china patterns, many with only slight variations, and the identification of this item's pattern is not guaranteed. If you are trying to match a Haviland pattern, please check all the photos in this listing very carefully against your own items to be sure this is the right pattern for you. Size: The plate is 9 3/4 inches wide and weighs about 1 pound. Condition: It has no nicks, cracks, stains, repairs or crazing. There are two chips: one on the underside rim and another small one on the edge. Both are shown in the photos. Please check all the photos very carefully - they are an important part of the description.
