Description: Hardy Graphite Smuggler 8'-2 1/2" #6 Fly Rod + Leather Tube Part of a mini clearout from a collection of other similar items. This is one of several older model Hardy rods that I will be offering for sale. I've had this for a number of years and never used. Has been stored indoors and well looked after. A Graphite Smuggler, made in Alnwick, with 7 sections and 8'- 2 1/2" long to take a 6-weight line. Rod number is FT55687 which dates to 1985. Finished in carbon grey with cork reel seat and aluminium reel fittings, lined butt ring, chrome snake intermediates and hayfork end ring. Complete with bag and leather tube. A superb rod in near-mint condition and has been well looked after. The cork handle is smooth and the blank is unmarked. A previous owner's name has been added above the handle (photo 12). The bag is slightly marked in one area. The leather tube is also near-mint and is unmarked.
