Description GUNZE SANGYO High-Tech model G-222 1/24 Truimph TR2 multi-material scale model kitTriump is one of the most famous English car series, manufactured during 1953 - 1981. TR stands for "Triumph Roadstar". The first TR1 was only a prototype. Production was made for TR2 to TR8. It was famous for its heigh performance, low priced, and economic efficiency. When TR2 became commercially available (1953-1955), Ken Richardson of BRM was invited to improve the maneuverability and engine power. As a result, TR2 marked the maximum speed of 170km/h, and 0-400m acceleration at 18.6 seconds. The body tail was extended, and the trunk was added. The price at the time was GBP595, which was half the price of Jaguar XK120. 8,363 cars were produced, out of which 5,521 was exported to the USA.TR2 achieved the RAC rally overall victory in 1954, and many other great results at the rally and endurance races.All of GUNZE High-tech Model is no more re-produced.
