Het pak van Godzilla dat in deze film gebruikt werd, duikt later letterlijk nog eens op in de zwemscènes van Godzilla Vs Gigan.Om te besparen op de dure miniatuursets, werd het grootste gedeelte van de beelden gefilmd op het eiland Guam.
