Description: Colorfully decorated 1911 mug A souvenir of the coronation with images of King George and Queen Mary, surrounded by the Union flag of Great Britain, the flag of St. Andrew (Scotland), a Blue Ensign and the Royal Standard , and the Royal Crest. Beneath the images on a ribbon is written "Long May they Reign." Unusually there is a copyright mark. On the reverse is the crest of the City of Exeter, Devon, and is written "Presented by the Citizens of Exeter to Commemorate the Coronation June 22nd, 1911." There is a merchant mark on the bottom. "Manufactured for A. E. Oater, China Dealer, 13 South Street Exeter." Excellent condition. A lovely piece for your royal collection. 2 3/4" high and 3 inches in diameter.
