Due to her raw talent, said to be comparable to that of Picasso and Matisse, Nechita was able to gain worldwide attention, and her career transcended to an unimaginable level for such an adolescent painter. Dubbed "Petite Picasso," Nechita works in the cubist modes of Picasso and Braque, but with an emphasis on "magical symbolism."
