Description: Up for sale is quite a nice and very difficult to acquire collection of 12 novels and short story collections by the late, great Nobel Prize winning author Gabriel Garcia Marquez. All the books in this set are stated “first editions” or have full number lines 1-10 on the copyright page. Ebay limits the number of photos, so I can’s show every copyright page, but they are all correct. Additionally, all the books have prices intact on the djs. NO price-clipped copies! Books Are Listed In Order of Publication: One Hundred Years of Solitude – 1972 - VG (very good) condition in a VG jacket. A nice solid copy of GGM’s masterpiece in a 1st edition second state jacket with the period at the end of the first paragraph on the front flap. The jacket has light perimeter wear and some wrinkles as shown in photo #5. There is also a ½ tear on front panel closed by archival tape. The book itself has a small part of the first blank page clipped out and a small amount of faint foxing spots just to the top edge. Otherwise square and very clean externally and internally! In Evil Hour – 1979 – Near Fine in a Near Fine jacket. No mentionable flaws. It has just been read a couple times so not FINE. Leaf Storm and Other Stories – 1979 Very Good in a Very Good jacket. The book has some light spotting on the front cover. The jacket has a ¼ inch missing piece at bottom edge by spine and similar on the top of rear panel, otherwise just light chipping at tips of spine. A scarce title! Chronicles of a Death Foretold – 1982 – A Near Fine copy in a FINE jacket. There is very light bit of offsetting on the inside of cover and a tiny bit more transferred to front of first blank page, perhaps from a piece of paper or newsprint that was once tucked in. Collected Stories – 1984 – A Near Fine book in a bright Near Fine jacket. There is a former owner’s inscription on the first blank decorative page (photo #20) otherwise very nice! Clandestine in Chili – 1987 – A FINE copy in a Near Fine jacket showing only a bit of sun fading to the spine. Love in the Time of Cholera – 1988 – A superb FINE unread copy in a FINE jacket.
