Description: This character has such a wonderfully realised face - hand carved and painted with such a great expression. The gentleman has clearly been on the grog all night! He's leaning on a keg, while dressed in his top hat and tails. His white trousers feature a black stripe down the outer sides of each leg. He has a moustache and a cigarette pokes out of his mouth. When you press on the back of his tails, he stands up and lifts the keg lid to reveal the container's contents. His head bobbles about to emphasise just how drunk he is every time you open the dispenser. Made in Germany's Black Forest regionCarved circa 1910 to 1940 This funny cigarette dispenser or cigarillo container would be at home in your bar or man cave, desktop or even just as a characterful decor item on the shelf. He's a great gift for the smoker with a sense of humour, for the collector of vintage barware or tobacciana. You don't have to be a smoker to enjoy him. Use him to store whatever you want - sweets, paperclips, nuts, nails, jewellery, coins, dice, etc. There are some places where the paint has worn off over the years, most notably on the back of the jacket.
