Description: Folio Society 1970 Homage to Catalonia By George Orwell A very personal book for one of the 20th Centuries most original thinkers, George Orwell. Having fought in the facist franco wars prior to the 2nd world war, orwell has clear memories of his own struggle for what he felt was an attack on freedom of thought, this book tells that tale. There are a few sections within with full colour photos of places personalities and possessions. Typical high quality binding by folio society, some of the novels they produce just seem to work and this is one such, great colour and design to the outside. Condition is not pristine, ive attempted to show in the photos there is a discoluring of the spine from light. The book generally retains bright clean pages although i spotted the odd bit of faint foxing. Its lightly read so will show marks from handling. There is a little to no noticeable wear to the outside and the corners are sharp. scuffs to the slip cover. its a good example bar the spine. Would make a great personal treat.
