Below I have cut and pasted their reply: The Ferrari item shown in the photos sent was made using a vegetable tanned leather (saddle leather). This material does not have any layer of paint on the surface (open pores). You could try to apply a shoe polish was in NEUTRAL color (not brown), follow instructions on label and try first on a hidden part (i.e. bottom part) to see the reaction of the leather. We advise that the areas where the polish was will be applied might get darker as the open pores would absorb the wax and changing its color.
