Description: Up for sale is my self crafted faraday cage. It's a standard, military surplus, .50 caliber ammo can, modified to be an effective EMP protective device. The can is constructed of steel. The waterproof gasket was removed and replaced with 4 ought steel wool. This causes the cage to NOT be waterproof, only, electrical-signal proof. The liner is made from three layer, corrugated cardboard, with each panel wrapped in aluminum duct tape. Effectively producing a double layer cage. I tested the box and liner separately. I used cell phones and handheld ham radios to test the ability of the equipment to block signals, with each component of the cage proving to work independently. Thus, a two layer, protective system.
