Description: This very unusual jewel box has come into my possession recently from an estate. It was kept in an old shed and the lore is that it was from a spinster who mourned having never married and having a family of her own. She lived on the land alone and was believed to have dabbled in witchcraft and casting spells. I cannot divulge who the previous owner was of this box for their privacy, but was told they believe this is haunted by an ancient spirit, possibly from a child. Possibly from the child the woman never was able to have. Since bringing this home, my cats were very disturbed and acting up, hissing at it and fighting amongst themselves, which is very unusual. We have heard unexplained noises, and scratching sounds from the walls/closets and do not wish to have this in our home. The top drawer has the fabric ripped off the side and I found an old medallion in there which I am including with this purchase. Handle it with the utmost care. Not suitable for children. WARNING!
