Description: Danny Davis was an influencer in Nashville and is credited alongside others for the birth of the "Nashville Sound". Beyond this, his claims to fame include signing Herman's Hermits to his label MGM and his breakout recordings with The Nashville Brass. An orchestra he founded and recorded with in the 1970's. Prior to that, he recorded with The Nashville Strings (not to be confused with the Nashville Strings Band). In an effort to bring culture to the country music genre, he recorded such high falootin hits as this one...a fully instrumental orchestral interpretation of the Herman's Hermits Catalog! Truly an innovator in the early Nashville Sound, this album is a quirky must-have classic! The album cover artwork is whimsically reminiscent of the 60's, reminding me of the Sgt. Pepper's Beatles cover style. The album itself is in good shape. Needs to be cleaned to fully assess. The album cover shows some wear, less than normal for its age. Pretty good overall.
