Description: Item from a non-smoking environment. We do have pets. Antique Embroidered Wedding Dress Fabriccirca 1910 approximately 42" x 95"uncut Family lore says that this Antique Embroidered Fabric was brought from London by my great-great aunt in order to make a wedding dress for my great-grandmother. My great-grandmother was married in 1910, so that is the date I'm giving to this. As for fabric content, possibly cotton if my burn test results are accurate. It burns quickly with yellow flame, smell is pretty neutral, and ash is black. There was some lingering glow after flame extinguished. That lines up with Mercerized cotton on my fiber burn chart. But, I am not a professional and can't be 100% sure on this. So, best guess is that it is cotton, but no guarantee. (See photo of burn test remains. Note: burn test pieces not included in listing) Fabric is very thin and loosely woven. It would have needed good undergarments. It is a large uncut piece approximately 42" x 95". It was folded in quarters and then folded again. This outer quarter section has a lot of discoloration. The other 3 quarters are better condition, but do have some spots and discolorations. I tried to get extra photos so you can see what you are getting. I'm not seeing lots of obvious holes, though I did see one in the selvage. There may be a snag/pull or two. Sold As-Is. Please see my other auctions for additional vintage fabrics & other goodies. Terms: Please read everything presented here. If you bid, you have AGREED to the terms presented here AS WRITTEN. I ship almost exclusively through the United States Post Office. I use recycled materials when it is safe to do so. This keeps my base costs down so that I can list items at a lower listing price. In other words, the auction price already reflects the discount of using any recycled materials. As stated above, if you bid, you agreed to this recycled materials policy and to the full shipping charges stated in this auction. Shipping Rate is listed in the Shipping Section of the Auction Listing. Shipping Time: In General, Delivery Schedule depends ON YOU. If you pay early in the week, I can usually ship in 1-2 days. If you wait until Thursday or Friday to pay, items are shipped on Monday. I do not ship on the weekend. I try to ship promptly. However, be aware that I am a stay-at-home mom and my family is dealing with a few medical issues at the moment. Delays may occur. Your understanding in this matter is appreciated.
