Lovely turn of the century Art Nouveau illustrations throughout, in both color and b&w. The full page images are often worthy of framing. Paper is as typical now well age toned and fairly brittle (issue should be handled with care), but overall remains clean and well-preserved. There is some separation along the spine, old tape at base of spine applied long ago, pages are/could be loose due to the old organic spine glue having now age dried and crumbled. Small minor edge splits may not be mentioned if they are have been cleanly closed with archival tape and are almost invisible to the eye when browsing the magazine. Progressive and often critical of the corruption of the French Government at the time, this scathing social commentary sensibility is found throughout the issue, which is filled with beautiful artwork and period advertising.
