Description: This owl was carved from a scotch pine log using a chainsaw and powertools. It has been sealed in a flat oil based spar urethane. The dimensions are as follows: roughly 28" tall, 11" wide, and 11" thick. This carving can be kept inside or outside, but I recommend keeping it out of direct sunlight as the excessive heat and harsh uv lights are very hard on wood carvings. A cool shaded location such as under a covered porch out of the elements is best. As can be seen in the photos the carving does have some cracks in it. It is possible that new cracks may open up as the carving ages. This is normal. Cracking is a natural and common occurrence in wood carvings.
