This is a 1980s beautifully hand-printed photonot your run-of-the mill, mass-produced team driver photo. Exceedingly rare, this photo comes from a collection of Italian photographer F.R. Mazzi's Villeneuve photos that we have seen only twice. This particular set came to us short a couple photos, which had been framed by the previous owner. We are offering the remaining photos individually. F. R. Mazzi is known for his candid shots of Enzo Ferrari, team drivers, and action in the garages and pits. An exceptional photographer with insider's access, Mazzi's work offers a window into the heart of the Scuderia. His color candids of Enzo are sublime, revealing something of the essence of the legend. This photo exemplifies Mazzi's personal style, focusing on Villeneuve, hand on his helmet, in an intense conversation in the team's garage.
