Description: Burgess & Leigh Vegetable Tureen Base Only - NO LID Offering an English Burgess & Leigh Middleport Nonpareil pattern flow blue vegetable tureen base from the late 19th century featuring outdoor scenery and scalloped edges in gold coloured gilt. From Middleport Pottery during the late 19th & early 20th centuries and created by Burgess & Leigh, this blue and white vegetable tureen base features the "Nonpareil" pattern depicting outdoor scenery, accented with buildings, foliage and three characters in the foreground. Presenting its printed mark on the back indicating the years of production between 1889 and 1919, this Burgess & Leigh Middleport flow blue vegetable tureen will bring a touch of elegance to any living room, dining room or kitchen area. Middleport Flow Blue Antique Blue & White Nonpareil Burgess and Leigh Middleport Pottery Made in England In good condition with no cracks or repairs. Minor crazing to the inside and outside base of the tureen with some wear to the gilding and signs of shelf wear to the four feet. ***Please Note: There is one fleabite to the rim of the tureen (please see last photo) and there are imperfections to the glaze during the firing process which you can feel when you run your finger across the surfaces.*** Size dimensions as per photos.
