Description: This is an original Brush Pottery Humpty Dumpty cookie jar. (The company was called Brush-McCoy until 1925.) Research indicates that this Humpty Dumpty was probably produced around 1962. The jar is in very good condition with only a small chip on the back of the lid. Like most of these Humpty Dumpty jars, the glaze is crazed all over, but since the crazing is fine and not discolored, it is not very noticeable. The jar is beautifully painted and the colors are bright. All of the paint has survived because it appears to be under the glaze, and the jar has a overall nice glossy appearance. It makes an impressive display piece. Approximately 11" high, the jar is marked W-29 Brush USA. The W indicates that Humpty Dumpty was designed by Ross and Don Winton. (Don Winton sculpted the Grammy Award, Bob's Big Boy, medium-sized Emmy Award, and many other notable works.) From a non-smoking and pet-free home.
