Smooth texture on one side and brushed on the other. Both sides feel lovely on the skin. The blend makes it easy to wash and maintain adding durability to the fabric. The material drapes softer than some stiffer meltons. It has the stretch and feel of a fleece. Sews beautifully. Washes with no shrinkage in cold water and air dry. Straight off the bolt!
