Beautiful Vintage Rookwood Pottery Art Deco Mini Cabinet Bowl "XXVI" 1926 #2130

Description: Featured in this auction is a sweet, miniature vintage Rookwood Pottery cabinet bowl. This piece has a beautiful rolling or undulating wave design encircling the bowl. The bowl is in excellent condition with no chips, very light crazing and no repairs; however, there is a tiny hairline just at the top rim which would go unnoticed if you are not looking for it. I note it only for the sake of accuracy. The piece is 2" tall, 4-1/2" wide at the shoulder and 3-1/2" wide at the top rim opening. The base of the pottery is stamped with the Rookwood Pottery flame mark, the shape number 2130 and the production year XXVI (1926). Stilt marks are visible on the base which also shows the effects of the glaze having been ground flat to make this little bowl level. It also exposes the clay color underneath. This gorgeous glaze is a matte, yellow ochre drip glaze which has pooled lightly inside. The bowl is very clean both inside and out with some tiny stray marks from having been gently used.
