Description: A very beautiful piano music jewelry box. It features a floral marquetry inlay design, skillfully crafted in Italy. The piano keys appear to also be marquetry. The inside is lined with luxurious red velvet and is in very clean, unused condition. The musical movement is Swiss, by Reuge and features "Clair de Lune - Debussy". This little piano is super shiny but I could not capture the lacquer-like finish with my camera. Even the underside is lacquered. It measures 6-7/8" x 6-1/8" and it's 3-1/2" tall. It's in excellent antique condition with these minor issues. There is a small area of discoloration to the finish, pic 20; a small "smudge" on pic 21, (the white line is the shine); there is a small gap to the velvet at the back of the piano, about 1/8", probably made during manufacturing pic 22; there is also a tiny separation on the velvet where it shows the white backing, pic 23, these two issues are not visible when you open the piano, only if you look down into it; tiny nicks to the wood, pic 24. Priced accordingly. All in all in beautiful condition with the floral motif and the piano keys real masterpieces in marquetry craftsmanship.
