Description: A lovely antique Edwardian 18k gold diamond starburst gypsy band ring, dating to circa 1905. This fabulous antique Edwardian solid 18k yellow gold gypsy ring can be seen from quite a distance with its highly polished, mirror-like graduating band centered with a beautiful glittering Old European cut natural earth-mined diamond set inside a pretty starburst setting-stunning! The ring has partial English hallmarks inside the band with maker's mark 'H&S' for Henry Hyde & Sons, the crown for gold, '18' and the Birmingham anchor. The ring tests for 18k gold. The ring is approximately a size 8. The band measures about 7mm at the front graduating down to about 2mm at the back. The diamond measures about 2mm across and weighs about 0.03 carats. The ring rises approximately 2.5mm above the finger and weighs approximately 2.1 grams. The ring is in very good condition with general overall wear.
