The stamp has not been previously hinged. Background To Issue: This special issue, containing bright festive colours, bold shapes, fireworks, and a 1999 / 2000 hologram, commemorated the approach of the year 2000. Movement of the stamp allowed the change of the year from 1999 to 2000 and vice versa to be seen within the hologram, which also contained, in microscopic lettering the words Australia Post.
