Description: A great early Algonquin Root Club. This one is not one of the carved up tourist pieces. Looks to be Hickory or Elm wood fire tempered and well worn. Nice patina and quite heavy. Hundreds of members of the Penobscot Tribe served with the American Armies during the Revolutionary War and the War of 1812. Found here in Southern Maine. See photos for more details.
