Description: This antique trinket box measures approx. 6.5 cm in length and the chain and ring add a further 7 cm to the overall length and the gilt metal tassel hangs 2.5 cm. The ovoid box is made of beautiful and rare pink, semi translucent opaline glass and has a pierced star design gilt metal mount to the top from which the chain is attached. The box has gilt metal rims, hinge and catch as well as gilt metal hanging decoration at the sides and from the base. The pink glass has raised enamel floral decoration to the front.This antique glass box has no chips, cracks or fractures and the metal retains a good gilt finish. The only "flaw" I can see is that when closed there is a slight gap between the top and bottom which can be seen in the images. Thank you for your interest.
