Description: Antique ETCHED HAND BLOWN GLASS Beer Stein W Lid ENAMEL OVERLAY Bohemia GermanySize Approx. 6.25" Tall [with handle] x 3 5/8"Across base, top opening approx. 2.75"Design is incredible- hand blown glass stein has hand etched star patterns woven through a hand etched oval and dot design. The ovals have ruby red enameled outer ring borders on each. Very collectible, not a common one.* Please check my Store under Vintage Mugs for a MATCHING STEIN with a slightly different etched pattern and GREEN enamel overlay. * The style of the pewter attachment to the glass is very specific to the late 1800s- a claw-like ring with a grooved acorn thumb rest. Very fine rope-style pewter trim around rim of lid. Etched 0,.4L as a calibration mark just above glass handle. This is a European measurement. Excellent condition, pristine for age, no nicks chips cracks or damage of any kind. Colors glossy and deep. Pewter lid is not bent or dented, hinge is secure. Opens easily and smoothly.
