Description: This is a set of vintage / Antique molded glass beads made in Bohemia better known as the Czech Republic specifically for being traded into Africa in the 1920s-1950's. Among the Fulani women of Mali these trade beads were used during weddings being presented to the bride, hence the name evolved wedding beads. Largest Czech bead of the set measures 24.48mm long by 14.80mm wide. These Czech beads are worn everyday by some African women and traditionally on their wedding day. This antique bead set is in good overall condition with some surface wear and some surface dinging. Perfect for jewelry making or adding to your African trade bead collection.
