Description: I have up for sale a wonderful antique / vintage original circa 1880s ABP American Brilliant Period Cut Glass Carafe . Unsigned as far as I can see but its not always easy to spot a marking. It stands approx 7-1/4" tall with an approx 6-1/2" diameter , approx 2-7/8" top rim outside diameter. It weighs approx 2 lbs 15 ounces. The top rim is facet cut with vertical zipper cut notchings going down the neck . I do not know the maker nor pattern. I am not sure of the amount of liquid that it will hold and don't want to fill it with water and measure , as my tap water is very hard with lots of calcium and lime so I am not going to risk dulling the interior just to figure out how much it will hold. The carafe is in Excellent Condition - any imperfections are of the most meager type - tiny nibbles / fleabite nips ,etc. Nothing of any significance and the glass is nice and clear - not cloudy - that is why I don't want to fill it with the water from my tap. I will package with utmost care and ship fully insured. Please read my instructions just incase the package gets mishandled and damage would occur. This would result in an Insurance Claim , so don't start a return , first help me do the claim process otherwise risk not getting a full refund. Very Simple , if the item arrives damaged - its an Insurance Claim situation and will take a little time and effort to resolve. ONLY THROW OUT THE BOXES AND PACKAGING AFTER YOU HAVE INSPECTED THE ITEM OR ITEMS AND FIND NO DAMAGE other than what may be noted in the condition report or shown in the pics. IN THE RARE EVENT YOU RECEIVED THE ITEM AND IT IS DAMAGED -CONTACT ME ASAP - KEEP THE BOX AND ALL PACKAGING MATERIALS JUST AS THE ITEM ARRIVED AS THEY WOULD BE NEEDED TO HELP PROCESS THE INSURANCE CLAIM. YOU WOULD BE REQUIRED TO HELP WITH THE INSURANCE CLAIM . SAVE THE BOX AND ALL PACKAGING ,TAKE PICS OF THE OUTER BOX AS WELL AS THE INNER BOX TO HELP SHOW THE INTERNAL PACKAGING, AND OF THE DAMAGE TO THE ITEM ITSELF AS THIS WOULD BE REQUIRED. WITHOUT THESE PICS, YOU WILL NOT GET A REFUND IF I CAN NOT PROCESS THE CLAIM - YOUR HELP IS REQUIRED. THIS IS PART OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITY WHEN IT COMES TO DAMAGE AND THE CLAIM PROCESS. I PACKAGE TO THE VERY BEST OF MY ABILITIES BUT ONCE IT IS IN THE CARRIERS HANDS IT MIGHT NOT GET HANDLED THE WAY WE WOULD LIKE. As stated if the item or items that I shipped were received by you and were damaged , this is then a Claim and has to be handled as a Claim , not a return . That part will be taken care after the claim process has been completed. Please view and inspect all the pics, click on the images to enlarge for better detail. If you need more pics - email and provide your email address. Ask all questions prior to bidding and make your own condition observations and assessments . I list my items as thorough and as honestly as I can - but it is the buyers responsibility to be informed as possible. Color shades/tones may vary depending on my back round and lighting conditions as well your or my monitor settings. All my items are either older collectibles or antiques and as with anything of this nature there may be slight imperfections due to age or use as well as manufacturing imperfections . Please view the pics as though they are part of the items description. BID WITH CONFIDENCE !!! Vic
