The stoneware itself is gray as can be seen on the base chip. There is an impressed star near the handle. This is NOT an later blue and white pitcher as more often seen.Aprox: 10.5" Tall, 3.25 x 3.5" top rim, 6.5" spout-handle, 4.2" bottom & 6" center of ovoid.
