Description: Antique Continental Wax Head Creche Figure Dolls Pair. The fabric gowns are molded, wood carved hands and feet, cannot determine if they have wooden bodies. Their heads are attached by pins. The cloaks are elegant and dramatic. The hands are very expressive and the fingers are all there. The heads have wax hair and beards. Eyebrows, eyes are painted. They both have rope braided sashes around their waists, that hang down the front. The swallowtail coat figure is attached to a wooden base by brads. His feet are painted black to resemble high top boots. His pants appear to tuck into the boots. His coat looks like very worn velvet. He is approx 6” tall. The other figure is dressed like an antique Lord. He is wearing a burgundy long sleeved dress, topped with cobalt blue robe and capelet. He is approx 6.5” tall. These came from an estate in Vero Beach.
