Description: I have for sale an antique 19th century oil painting. I have for sale a lovely 19th century signed oil painting on canvas. It has the original Haseltine Art Galleries label on the back, and does have some writing in pencil by the label. The painting is signed, but difficult to read, so I provided some photos of the signature under black-light. I know Haseltine Art Galleries exhibited very respected painters, and I have a feeling this is by a listed artist, but I just can't make out the signature. I have provided nearly (6) dozen photos below to try to give you an extremely thorough view of this 19th century oil painting. The painting features an old woman on a chair reading to a young girl sitting in front of a fireplace. Behind the girl you see a cat laying, and behind the old woman you can see a stand, with a broad axe and torch. A very nice painting.
