Description: A very fine and scarce non-excavated example of a American Revolutionary War period French 57th Infantry Officer's vest button. The French 57th was known as the Bourbon Regiment. Buttons from the 57th have been found around Savannah, Georgia, although the 57th was never officially assigned to service in America. Button is in beautiful condition with nearly all the original gilded finish intact. This vest button measures approximately 17.62mm. See photos for condition details.
