We recommend AISIN part # AB1207B or Toyota Part#: 00295-00103. The water pump mounting surface has a U shaped groove inside the bolt pattern. This is designed to catch any excess sealant and stop it from reaching the water pump jacket. If the gasket sealer is exposed to the coolant the catalyst (hardening agent) will cause the coolant to become acidic and over time eat at the metal, gaskets, and seals. Apply a continuous bead of sealant about 2.2mm to 2.5mm (0.09in to 0.10in) thick OUTSIDE of the U groove and INSIDE the bolt pattern. (see attached document).
