This is the June 11, 2002 currency notes issued by the Central Bank of Egypt and signed by its governor Mahmoud Abou El Oyoun. The notes show the Sultan Hassan Mosque on the front center in dark brown over a multi-colored underprint and brown-violet background color. The back depicts the head of the Sphinx in the center, again on multi colored underprint with blue green background. The note is written in Arabic on the front and shows the denomination, the serial number, and the signature of the governor. The back is written in English and shows the denomination twice in numerals and once spelled out. This is a replacement banknote as evidenced by its series Noon/100. This note has the serial number 5935056 and the prefix Noon/100. It is dated June 11, 2002. The note has a wide solid security thread near the right edge and a holographic windowed security strip to the right of center. The note has a watermark depicting the mask of Tut-Ankh-Amon.
