This is a first edition thus as shown on the copyright page published by the Candlewick press in 2004. This book really needs no explanation as it was a part of the youth of millions of people across the world. Yellow Submarine first appeared in film in 1968 and the world ( and for some of us our minds ) were never the same again. Blue Meanies, Pepperland, and Captain Fred and The Beatles all come to life in the fabulous full color illustrations of Heinz Edelmann’s avant-garde pop art with text that follows the film script as best it could. This copy is in beautiful condition. The binding is square, tight, and the pages are immaculate throughout. There is a previous owner’s gift inscription on the inside front board that contains the last line of the film…There’s only one way to go out………SINGING! The illustrated boards are spotless. The spine ends and four corners have only minor wear as shown in the photos provided. The dust jacket is complete and has the original price present on the inside front flap. There is a small tear to the upper spine on the rear side and a small amount of chipping on the front side. The four corners have minor wear as well but also as shown only minimal indeed. Just in time for Christmas for that “hippy” in your life or to introduce a new generation to a piece of film and music history.
