Description: Rare ceramic Transformers G1 Optimus Prime Cookie Jar from 1985. Made in Portugal, no. 1240, and manufactured by Great American Housewares under license from Hasbro. The dark blue ceramic cookie jar measures 9" (high) x 8" x8" (229mm x 208mm x 208mm) and the heavy cookie jar weighs in at 4.7 lbs (2.12 kg). These were only available from the S&H Green Stamps grocery store rewards catalog in 1985. The cookie jar is in excellent shape with no chips or cracks. The gold decal on the helmet (lid) has a few small marks. There are 2 very hard to see pinpoint sized white marks on the top of the lid and one near the base's bottom on the side that look almost like dust specks which are manufacturing marks from when it was glazed at the factory . See Photos. The box is in fair shape: the top lid has a dent, one of the side panels has damage to the photo near the bottom, and the box's bottom and inside bottom are stained. See Photos.
