This listing is for one Vintage 1975 Fox 36X BB Combat Special MK III #13700 Gas/Nitro Model Airplane Engine with Bright Tumbled Polish/Chrome Finish look & a Smoothy Style Cylinder Head. This comes with a new style 2-piece needle valve, no web blockage in the exhaust, & was Fox's first Schneurle ported engine. This Slanted Glow Plug Engine has Strong compression & rotates very smoothly. This is a RARE model in that Fox recalled many of these engines due to a weak crankshaft however this one had the crankshaft replaced at the Fox Factory & was returned with the unbroken weak link original as well. The replacement Crankshaft appears to be a hardened version & possibly Nitrated as well. This engine was fired up at the factory but never mounted/broken in etc. in an airframe so I consider it an unused engine. This was sadly the Last & Final Combat Special ever released to the public. The original Box show shelf wear & the cellophane plastic window is broken or damaged. It comes complete with Instruction Sheets & Parts List. This would be a Great choice for the Collector to Display or the Flyer who has a current Combat Build Project & looking for a very strong power source. You cant go wrong with a FOX Engine I Guarantee it !!
