Summary: Hansel and Gretel are abandoned in the forest by their stepmother and fall into the hands of a wicked witch who lives in an enchanting gingerbread house. The witch wants to fatten Hansel up and eat him but Gretel saves him by pushing the witch into her own oven, and escaping with the witch's treasure. When they return home, the stepmother has passed away, so Hansel, Gretel, and their loving father live happily ever after. CONDITION: This Book is in good condition. Book shows normal fairly minor signs of storage & age. Tight binding, clean text. Pages have turned yellow from age. Foxing to paper commensurate with age. The cover has been laminated. Previous ownership bookplate affixed to the endpaper pastedown at the front of the book. There are stamps from the previous owner on the pastedown endpapers at the front and at the back of the book, on the title page, on page 28, and on the last page of the book. Page 29 has a crease. This book is also an ex-library book. It has library markings, a book spine sticker, an 'old school' pocket for the checkout card, a due date card, and the checkout card. Please see pictures.
