Description: 1966 James T. Elder Postcard -#211 FRANK HAYES (Philadelphia A's/Athletics). Players name and death date written on back. From a series of RPPC's produced by collector/photographer James T. Elder featuring then-current & past baseball stars. This is one of the first examples of a "Collector's Issue" as these postcards were largely marketed to early hobbyists for 25-cents each from 1966 to 1968...which was rather expensive at the time. They are normally found with a large stamped # on back (but not always.) These are always found on Kodak postcard paper. Elder would produce a series of 1,400 different numbered postcards!
