BS - BACHELOR'S OF SCIENCE DEGREE VERSION, MEN'S SCHOOL CLASS RING FROM MISSOURI SCHOOL OF MINES AND METALLURGY, NOW KNOWN AS MISSOURI UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY / MISSOURI S&T, IN ROLLA, MISSOURI USA IT IS PERSONALLY MONOGRAMMED, MEASURES A US SIZE 10, TOP OF SETTING MEASURES 3/4" WIDE, STONE MEASURES 10mm x 12mm, SHANK IS 1/4" WIDE, TOTAL WEIGHT OF 19.0 GRAMS It is personally monogrammed on the inside with the original owner's initials, otherwise, it shows light wear from use and handling, including typical surface scuff marks, scratches, and minor chips over the stone. It has been gently hand polished and ultrasonic cleaned in a mild dish soap, and it has nice shine and is very clean. It is straight, round, and not bent out of shape, stone has nice color, with no major issues at all. Top features a lab-grown Corundum, inlaid in gold with the Greek letters for the fraternity Phi Kappa Theta, and reads around the edge MISSOURI SCHOOL OF MINES 1871. Sides feature the Missouri State Seal with the year 62, and a gear with chain and BS for a Bachelor's of Science degree. It is hallmarked on the inside BALFOUR 10K, mark for historic and listed USA fine jewelry maker, L.G. Balfour, well known for their corporate, school, and fraternal fine jewelry. Stone was measured with a gemstone gauge tool at 4.0 carats and band was measured with a professional ring mandrel at a US Size 10.
