Description: Dave Jolly had a short career and a short life. Originally signed by the Browns, Jolly made it to the majors with Milwaukee in 1953. He went 11-6 with a 2.43 era in 1954 in which looked like a good start to a promising career. But things went swiftly downhill after that. After this 1957 season he was sent to the minors where he pitched until 1961. Jolly died of a brain tumor in 1963 at the age of 38. Jolly's card is very well centered, has good corners, no creases or stains. Very sharp portrait. The borders have lost some of their brightness over the years but other than that, it is a very good card. Back has a tiny dot or stain in the middle left border.
