Description: VERY NICE MID HIGHER GRADE 1955 BOWMAN COMPLETE BASEBALL SET (318/320, missing 2 commons) WITH MANTLE, MAYS, AARON, ETC. TOUGH TO FIND IN NICE SHAPE! Overall condition is a SOLID VGEX+, in MY OPINION (yours may vary), perhaps even VGEX+/EX Good amount of variation from mostly VG to EXMT+ but the overwhelming majority of cards are VGEX to EX range with the occasional VG (perhaps a handful of really rough ones) and a good amount of crisp EXMT or better cards, which are very hard to find due to the dark borders on this year. Hardly any fillers. VERY VISUALLY APPEALING and DISPLAYED IN NEW SHEETS. Stars grade as follows: Wilhelm G (rounded corners, crease)Campanella VG+/VGEX (off center, corner wear, tiny wrinkling at corner tips, light wax on back)Kaline appears G/VG (corner wear, surface creasing, short top to bottom)Berra VGEX+ (corner wear only)Mathews VGEX+/EX (corner wear, small ding by lower right)Aaron appears VG- (corner wear, rub marks, short left to right)Mantle VG+ (off center, corner wear w/minor wrinkling at corner tips, back miscut)Mays VGEX+/EX (crisp card w/minor corner wear, tiny hairline wrinkle)Banks appears VGEX/VGEX+ (corner wear w/fuzziness by top right, hairline wrinkle, minor glue w/tiny paper loss on back) Set is overall fairly clean and VERY presentable. BRIGHT COLORS throughout and backs fairly clean overall. Displayed in clean and clear NEW sheets as shown in pictures (no album). LOTS of fairly crisp cards thrown in there. Hard to find out there in any grade, because you just don't see too many early 55 bowman sets Priced fairly for a collector to enjoy, or break it apart, get cards graded and use it as an investment.
