Description: Fold-out 1951 bird's-eye-view map of San Francisco, published by Peck-Judah Travel Service more than 70 years ago. This map opens to 10½" x 11½" and the view looks to the west, from the Ferry Terminal to Fleishhacker Pool, Fort Funston, and the Pacific Ocean. There's good detail on old street and highway alignments, and the map locates Seals Stadium, Palace of Fine Arts, U.S. Army Transport Docks, Laguna Honda Home, Southern Pacific Railroad Station, Chinatown, Portola Drive, City College, Sutro Heights, Latin Quarter, Daly City, the Cow Palace, Fort Mason, Kezar Stadium, and Army Street (today's Cesar Chavez Street), along with many other city landmarks. The Peck-Judah Company was a full-service travel agency located at Lotta's Fountain, 672 Market Street, where Geary and Kearny Streets connect in downtown San Francisco. Condition: This map is in very good condition, with some minor toning on the front panel; otherwise, bright and clean, with no rips, tears, or writing. Please see the scans and feel free to ask any questions. It folds to 6¼" x 3½" and was compiled by C.E. Erickson & Associates, Berkeley, and published circa 1951 by the Peck-Judah Company.
