Description: Frank Shellenback made his MLB debut in 1918 and also pitched for the White Sox in their most notorious of seasons, 1919. He was a proponent of the spitball which was banned in MLB. Frank went to the Pacific Coast League and won a record 296 with some help with his spitball which wasn't banned out west. Up for sale is a 1945 typed signed letter from Mr. Shellenback inquiring about a job with the Tigers coaching staff. The letter worked as Frank spent 1946 and 47 as a Detroit coach.
