Description: a very rare if not unique dutch underground newspaper weet u dat (do you know that) dated 28th june 1944 which was issued for the helmond area by leo jonkergouw . the newspaper & covering letter are on very thin tissue type paper which has some creasing & folds otherwise in very good condition 1) weet u dat d-day issue newspaper which is typed on very thin blue tissue type paper and is single sided which is hand signed in ink by leo jenkergouw on the front . approx 8 inches by 11 inches . with english translation 2) covering letter for the newspaper which is also on very thin pink tissue type paper & signed by leo jonkergouw in pencil & dated 1st jan 1945 . approx 8&1/2 inches by 5&3/4 inches the newspaper is a period war time copy which was made by leo jenkergouw for british soldiers who liberated helmond as a souvenir which is dated 1st jan 1945 a very rare survivor
