A lovely collection of colour plates highlighting colour theory and definitions to standardise colours and hues for textiles industries. The British Colour Council was established in 1931 for this purpose. Both volumes include a seven page introductory text. CONDITION Unbound as issued. In the original publisher's cloth portfolios with cloth slipcases. Externally, smart with light wear to the extremities of the slipcases resulting in minor fraying to the extremities. With the odd small mark to the cloth. Overall very good. Both cloth portfolios are in excellent condition with a small mark to the cloth of volume two. Internally, unbound as issued. The pages are bright and clean with the odd small spot and light edgewear.
