Miami Beach: Baritone Nelson Eddy and Jeanette MacDonald are shown in a scene from the 1935 movie version of Victor Herbert's operetta "Naughty Marietta." Eddy, who received screen fame as Miss MacDonald's co-star in a long series of musicals, died 3/5 in a Miami Beach hospital. Death was attributed to a stroke, caused by a blood clot in the brain.
